Terms of Sale and Use

These terms are between you and ZNOWSOFT, LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. They cover this website, purchases made here, and the ZenHoot application. By buying a licence or using ZenHoot, you agree to them.

The software

ZNOWSOFT grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use ZenHoot for lawful purposes. ZenHoot and its branding remain the property of ZNOWSOFT and its licensors. Open-source components remain subject to their own licences.

The core player is free to use and requires no account. ZenHoot Plus is an optional paid layer; nothing in the free tier is removed if you never buy it.

ZenHoot Plus licences

• A Plus licence is perpetual: a single payment, with nothing to renew and nothing to cancel.
• The licence is bound to the email address used at checkout. Keep access to that mailbox — it is how you sign in and how you recover your activation key.
• Your activation key is personal. Sharing it publicly, or activating devices you do not control, is a breach of these terms and may result in the licence being suspended.
• A licence covers a limited number of concurrently activated devices. The exact number is shown on the pricing section and in your account. You may deactivate a device at any time to free its slot.

Verification and availability

ZenHoot verifies your licence cryptographically against ZNOWSOFT's licensing service. A device keeps a signed entitlement locally and continues to work through a grace window if the service cannot be reached, so an outage on our side does not disable software you have paid for. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the licensing service or the storefront.

If a licence ends

Should a licence be refunded, charged back, or suspended, ZenHoot returns to the free tier on that account. Your data is preserved: playlists, settings and library entries are never deleted by a downgrade. Content over a free-tier limit becomes read-only rather than removed.

Your music and conduct

You retain all rights you hold in your files. You are responsible for having permission to copy, edit, download, stream, cast, or share them. Do not use ZenHoot to infringe rights, distribute unlawful content, gain unauthorised access, or interfere with other systems.

Servers, tokens, and backups

You are responsible for configuring and securing self-hosted servers, networks, TLS, firewalls, backups, and access tokens. Metadata edits, file deletion, reset, and synchronisation can cause permanent data loss; keep current backups before using them.

Third-party services

Artwork, lyrics, metadata, casting, payments, and update features may depend on third-party services, including Stripe for payment processing. Their content, accuracy, availability, and terms are outside ZNOWSOFT's control.

Warranty and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZenHoot is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, security, or data accuracy. ZNOWSOFT is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, media, profits, or access. Our total liability for any claim relating to a Plus licence will not exceed the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights or liability that law does not permit us to exclude.

Termination, law, and contact

This licence ends if you materially breach these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive will remain effective. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Wyoming law governs these terms, without overriding mandatory consumer protections. Questions may be sent to info@znowsoft.com.
